The Legacy of Hope Walk is The Jordan Legacy's memorial walk: a chance to remember loved ones lost to suicide, to walk alongside others who understand, and to take steps — together — towards hope.

What is the Legacy of Hope Walk?
Losing someone to suicide can feel profoundly isolating. A memorial walk offers something simple and powerful: the company of people who understand, a way to honour the person you loved, and a shared act of hope. The first Legacy of Hope Walk took place in May 2026 and covered 5km of Harrogate's famous parkland, known as The Stray.
Our founder, Steve, led the walk by carrying 81kgs in weight, distributed across a rucksack carried on his back, with the remainder of the weight pushed in a wheelbarrow. The 81Kgs represented how much Jordan weighed at the time of his death.
People came to join the walk from across Yorkshire and helped raise funds to support The Jordan Legacy's mission to prevent all preventable suicides. During the walk in Harrogate, those who joined Steve took turns in pushing the wheelbarrow. By carrying Jordan's weight we symbolised how everyone can support someone who feels they're carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders.
The walk is open to everyone — those who have been bereaved by suicide, friends and supporters, and anyone who believes in our vision of a Zero Suicide Society.

You can walk in memory of someone, in support of someone, or simply in hope. Every step helps raise awareness and supports The Jordan Legacy's suicide prevention work across the UK.
