Frequently Asked Questions About The Jordan Legacy

  • What is the mission of The Jordan Legacy?

Our mission is to move towards a "zero suicide society" — a society that is willing and able to do all it can to prevent all preventable suicides.

We work towards this through collaboration with others who share our vision, and through education, awareness-raising and practical suicide prevention activities. Read about Our Vision (#).

  • What makes you different from other suicide prevention charities?

We believe no single organisation can create significant change by operating alone. Our role is to amplify the voices of others — especially voices that often go unheard.

We bring together everyone advocating for a significant reduction in suicide deaths, so we can create change at scale. One Voice, One Hope (#) is that belief in action.

  • How is The Jordan Legacy funded?

Most of our funds come from donations, from talks we deliver to businesses and workplaces, and from fundraising by our wonderful supporters.

We also run our own #JustAnotherNumber lottery and other fundraising initiatives. Details are on our Support Our Work (#) pages.

  • How can I donate?

You can donate via the donation button on our website, which accepts PayPal, debit or credit card, or our crowdfunding platform GoodHub.

Other ways to give — from fundraising to our lottery — are explained on our Donate (#) and Support Our Work (#) pages.

  • How is my donation used?

Every penny raised goes back into The Jordan Legacy, keeping our suicide prevention advocacy running seven days a week.

That includes free talks for schools and community groups, co-hosting our HappierMe podcast, maintaining our Help & Resources pages, and hosting online educational events sharing practical solutions to preventing suicide.

  • Can I book The Jordan Legacy to speak at my organisation or event?

Can I book The Jordan Legacy to speak at my organisation or event?

Yes — you can book us to speak at your workplace, school, group or event. Book a talk (#).

We ask corporate businesses and larger groups to consider a donation in return. This enables us to deliver talks in schools and community settings where no budget is available.

  • Why should we book a suicide prevention talk?

Education about suicide — how to spot the signs and support someone who may be having thoughts of ending their life — is vital to reducing stigma and saving lives.

Our talks equip attendees with the understanding, confidence and knowledge to support a friend, colleague, student, loved one or even a complete stranger.

  • How can I support The Jordan Legacy?

Share our social media content, talk to others about our mission, fundraise, or offer your skills — many talents can be of enormous value to our work.

If you'd like to help, contact us (#) and tell us, as specifically as you can, how you believe you could support our mission.

  • How can my organisation support The Jordan Legacy?

By becoming a Hero or Superhero partner, your organisation can donate or fundraise for our mission. In return we provide talks, plus wellbeing, mental health and suicide prevention consultancy.

Partners also receive tickets to our bi-annual Hope for Life Conference and positive brand recognition across our large online following. See Corporate Partnerships (#).
